New projects in the making...

After spending my maternity leave in India, I am now back after nearly a year and ready to dive back into new projects.

I am working on an exciting collaboration with Astrologer Amanda Simon whilst devising new Voice Yoga Courses and continuing my work with Leominster community choir and the Cartshed

Working and taking care of 2 kids under 3 years old is a challenge with very few affordable childcare options, but its all part of the process. One thing that helps me think and dream is my daily walk with both kids cosied up in the buggy. I can have ideas then and write or record them after bedtime.

Productivity is slower than before, but just as rich.

Hush Now Continues!

I am pleased to announce that the project Hush Now has just secured funding to tour! I will be working with the wonderful Estelle Van Warmello and Rebecca Meltzer amongst other talents developing the piece and taking it to the Black Country on tour in the Spring. So excited about the prospect of this. Of course it depends on the pandemic situation but we have options to go digital if we are restricted due to Covid. Either way, I’m so happy to re-visit and re-jig the songs I wrote and get my MD hat back on!

Collaborating with Lucy Rivers on her exciting new project 'Borderlands'

I am so excited to be working with amazing artist Lucy Rivers on her latest creative endeavour: Borderlands.

This autumn, we will be walking a section of the Welsh border together and seeing what inspires us on the walk to create something together.

After a few years mourning the sudden death of Goodbye Leopold, I have now started up a new trio which I am really joyful about!

I have begun singing with local lasses and gorgeous musicians Helena Watt and Jess Watkins, formally of Jessica Rising. Check out their gorgeous video made a few years ago on their tour of the states! We have called ourselves MANDRA and we are playing next month at How The Light Gets In festival.

Hush Now

I am currently composing the music for this exciting new piece of site specific immersive theatre. Hush now is ‘An ambitious countywide series of digital and live performances that will give voice to the unmarried mothers who were stigmatised and hidden away in Magdalene Homes across Herefordshire.’

We are playing this summer at Fire in The Mountain Festival and at the New Radnor Brewery with Islet .
